The 2.0 update to the Tumblr iPhone app is quite nice!
I feel so horrible for laughing at this, but in relation to the story about the Segway Company owner rolling over a cliff on his segway and dying, THIS was posted in the comments. I could not help myself.
This is a fan-made alternate title sequence for the upcoming AMC series “The Walking Dead.” He uses art from the comics, and it is just amazing. Check it out!
WARNING: NSFW language, but I think it just amplifies the poster’s spirit.
“You are fucking awesome. But you don’t want to admit it. You go through shit day in and day out, and you live. You, are alive. This world cannot beat you. It cannot destroy you. There is no shame in defeat as long as the spirit is not conquered. So don’t fucking give up. You are a good, decent person who is in hard times. You deserve somebody. You deserve a hug. You deserve a kiss at night. You deserve a friend. Don’t ever fucking think differently.
Start fucking acting like it.”
Don’t wait on God to hand everything to you. He didn’t give you free will so you could sit there all day praying and waiting. If you want something, go out and work for it, whether it’s a new car or someone to spend the rest of your life with. It’s like my dad said once: “If a tornado is coming right at you, God doesn’t want you to stand there and pray for Him to move the tornado. He wants you to move yourself.”
Okay so I’ve started work on my chemistry lab project and I’ve spent most of today working on a microscope. I got really into this model and I probably put more detail into it than I should, but I’m actually really happy with it! So happy in fact, that I just had to show it off. Textures are preliminary, lighting is nonexistant, and the model isn’t finished. This is just what I’ve got done so far today.
College Dorm - Stage 3
Okay so stage 3 turned out to really be more refinement of textures, but from these you can see it’s starting to come together quite nicely. I don’t really see a whole lot that needs to be done with the lighting, but I will tweak it until it’s as close to perfect as I can get. Anyway, here it is, stage 3!
